The local association Bleu Ocean was born 15 years ago thanks to local rider Nico Zabala. The main goal was to start promoting all board sports on the island of La Réunion and to protect the coastline. Today, the association is more focused on the promotion and defense of windsurfing to comply with navigation areas that have almost been eliminated by the Maritime Affairs, as windsurfing is a sport still unknown on the island. Today, the association also organizes friendly competitions for his members in the waves of Ravine Blanche or Etang Salé.
Partner of The “2010 Reunion Wave Classic”, Blue Ocean and its members regularly help for the good set up of the event. As the “Wave Classic” organization, which works for the environment on each stage of his tour, Blue Ocean wished to organize a “beach cleaning” by taking advantage of the venue of the champions on this 2nd edition of the RWC. This Saturday August 28, we will clean the beach in Ravine Blanche at 4pm.
A waste collection will be done on this part of the coast. Gloves and plastic bags will be provided to all those who wish to join this environmental cause.After the exercise, let’s have fun!
